Mega Tour Coastarina
One of venue that popular among local and some of tourist is Mega Tour Coastarina. Mega Tour Coastarina opened on 28 December 2008, followed by Coastarina Waterpark on 13 December 2009. Occupying a land of over 40 hectares is a place to relaxing and refreshing for family or gathering with friend. It located near Batam Centre Ferry Terminal and Mega Mall Batam Centre, approx. 10 minute to reach Ocarina.
The entrance is quite a walk from the attractions, but there is a shuttle bus or you can take your car inside. There are Chinese zodiac sculptures along the entrance: rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and last sculpture is pig.
Giant lettering concrete signage “Coastarina” that even you can see it clearly from the ferry when you come in to Batam. Each letter weighs 50 metric ton and 8 meter height. MURI (Indonesian Record Museum) claimed it the biggest and the heaviest lettering; and it cost 150,000 USD.
The stage is here also often used for large events such as musical performances or other activities that attract a lot of visitors.
Inside park there are most popular Ferris wheel, standing to a height of 25 meters above the sea level and stretching to a diameter of 35 meters, the huge Ferris wheel is popular kids and adults. There also have kid zone, especially for kids.
Do not miss the opportunity to see the sunrise or sunset. Accompanied by a gentle sea breeze, the golden rays of the sun will be beautifully reflected in the sea water ripples moving slowly.
The Water Park spans a total land area of 1.5 hectares with a pond measuring 3000 meters located inside. Inside, guests can enjoy a variety of water games like Massage Chair, Nozzle, Lange-Fountain, Nozzle-Fountain, Arc, Floating Lotus Leaf, Bath Show, Bridge, Fountain, Barrel of Pouring Water, Rainbow Slide, Slide for Famil Bar, Water Gun, Slide Hill Creep and many others.
